This is the first of a two-volume set. The subtitle of the second will be The Paradoxes of Paul. The idea was conceived when Peter O’Brien spent a sabbatical year at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He and I enjoyed many hours talking over recent publications variously connected with the “new perspective” on Paul. In due course Mark Seifrid joined the discussions.
